COMPOSERS
Buddy Judge Buddy Judge has been writing music since age 11 and has been as singer/ songwriter in many bands including the short-lived yet legendary L.A. pop group The Grays with Jon Brion and Jason Falkner. He has performed with, produced, and written music with many prominent artists, including Liz Phair, The Wallflowers, and Aimee Mann having produced songs for Aimee Mann's "Bachelor #2" (songs from which are featured in Paul Thomas Anderson's "Magnolia.") Shortly after appearing on the Oscars with Aimee Mann, Buddy started composing music for film in earnest. His first project, "According to Spencer", was an independent romantic comedy starring Jesse Bradford (and included David Krumholtz and Adam Goldberg) the score for which blended acoustic guitars, hip-hop drums, and classic romantic (and, uh, comedic...) melodies and string arrangements. "Funny Old Guys", a bittersweet HBO documentary about a weekly meeting of octogenarian ex-comedy writers who get together to eat lunch, tell prostate jokes, and generally crack wise, offered another opportunity to write a wide variety of music. The score moved from farcical to serious and contained elements ranging from 60’s TV themes to Klezmer. Buddy has been continuing to write for film and television and just finished producing songs and composing the score for a documentary about the G.I. Movement, “Sir, No Sir!” , which won the audience award at the 2005 L.A. Film Festival. FEATURE FILM CREDITS CERTIFIABLY JONATHAN 2007 "SIR! NO SIR!"
